Description

Mini Salted Chocolate Tarts are a delightful fusion of rich dark chocolate and flaky crust, topped with a hint of sea salt that elevates each bite. These elegant treats are perfect for impressing guests at dinner parties or indulging yourself on a cozy evening. With their decadent filling and satisfying crunch, these tarts promise to linger in your memory long after the last crumb.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter (cubed)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (60% cocoa)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Incorporate cold butter until crumbly.
  2. Press the mixture into tartlet pans or muffin tins evenly. Prick bases with a fork to prevent puffing and bake for 10-12 minutes until firm.
  3. In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until simmering. Pour over dark chocolate chips, let sit for 5 minutes, then stir until smooth.
  4. Fill cooled tart shells with ganache and sprinkle with sea salt while warm. Cool at room temperature or refrigerate until set.
