Ingredients

- 4 cups sliced potatoes (about 4 medium potatoes)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- fresh herbs for seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat and add chopped onions and minced garlic; sauté until softened.
- Season with salt, pepper, and any additional herbs desired.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the beef mixture and half of the cream of mushroom soup. Repeat layers.
- Top with shredded cheese and cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake in preheated oven for about 45 minutes. Remove foil during the last 10 minutes to brown the cheese before serving.
