  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Stir in mashed bananas, sugar, softened butter, and salt.
  2. Gradually add flour while mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 6-8 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area until doubled (about 1 hour).
  3. For the filling, mix softened butter, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick and spread filling evenly over it.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from one end into a log shape. Slice into equal pieces (about 1 inch thick) and place cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Allow rolls to rise for another 30 minutes while preheating. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
