- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tbsp fresh apple cider

- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and granulated sugar.
- In a separate large bowl, beat melted butter, eggs, and apple cider until smooth. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fill each muffin cup two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cupcakes cool, beat softened butter for the frosting until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and brown sugar along with apple cider until smooth.
- Once cooled completely, generously frost each cupcake and serve.
