Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 12 decorative candy eyes
  • 24 miniature chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, and water as per package instructions. Pour into the pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Allow the cake to cool completely before crumbling it into fine pieces in a mixing bowl.
  4. Mix in half a cup of chocolate frosting until you achieve a dough-like consistency. Adjust with more frosting if needed.
  5. Roll the mixture into one-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in short bursts, stirring in between until smooth.
  7. Dip each cake ball into the melted white chocolate and sprinkle with coconut flakes while wet. Decorate with candy eyes and mini chocolate chips as desired.
