- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F/43°C)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup shredded cheese (Edam or Cheddar)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top; let bloom for 5 minutes until frothy. Stir in eggs and melted butter.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
