Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced against the grain
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, minced
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips; season with salt and pepper.

  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil if necessary and stir-fry the broccoli for 3-4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch mixture until smooth.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet with broccoli; pour in the sauce mixture and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until everything is coated in a thick glaze.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or sliced green onions if desired.
