- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 cup warm milk (110F)
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 egg
- 2 Granny Smith apples, finely diced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Proof yeast in warm milk and sugar until foamy.
- Mix in melted butter, egg, and flour; knead until smooth.
- Let dough rise in a warm spot until doubled in size.
- Sauté diced apples with butter and cinnamon until tender.
- Roll dough into a rectangle, spread apple filling and cinnamon sugar.
- Roll into a log, slice into 12 rounds, and place in greased pan.
- Let rolls rise for 30 minutes, then bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes.
- Mix butter, cream, ginger, and cardamom; drizzle over hot rolls.
