Description

A vibrant deviled eggs recipe combining the tang of Greek yogurt with Southwestern spices—light, creamy, and ready in minutes.


Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 small jalapeño, seeded and finely diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips, crushed, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat, remove from flame, cover, and let stand for 10 minutes.
  3. Transfer to ice water for 5 minutes, then peel.
  4. Halve each egg lengthwise and remove yolks into a bowl.
  5. Mash yolks and stir in Greek yogurt, lime juice, cilantro, cumin, smoked paprika, jalapeño, garlic, mayo, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  6. Fill the egg whites with the mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  7. Refrigerate at least 15 minutes before serving.
