- 1 onion, diced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 6–8 strips cooked crispy bacon, crumbled
- 32 oz frozen tater tots
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Brown ground beef and onions in a skillet; drain grease.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
- Spread the beef mixture into a 9×13 baking dish.
- Layer crumbled bacon and a bit of cheese over the beef.
- Arrange tater tots in a single layer across the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until tots are golden brown.
- Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
