- 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and minced
- 4 cups shredded green cabbage
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Water or egg wash for sealing
Instructions
- Sauté cabbage and shrimp until shrimp are pink and cabbage is wilted.
- Stir in soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil; cook for 2 more minutes.
- Cool the filling completely on a tray.
- Place 2 tbsp of filling on a wrapper and fold in the sides and bottom.
- Roll tightly and seal the top edge with water or egg wash.
- Deep fry at 350°F until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes per side.
