Instructions

  2. Remove from heat and steep basil leaves for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain out the basil leaves using a fine sieve.
  4. Cool the syrup to room temperature.
  5. Whisk in lemon juice and lemon zest.
  6. Freeze the mixture, stirring every 45 minutes for 4 hours.
